Plainfield District 202's Battle of the Books (BOB) is an annual reading competition that is first held within each middle school and culminates with a district-wide middle school competition.

The book list for the 2025 BOB Competition was chosen from this year's Rebecca Caudill Nominees. The list titles will be released on October 1, 2024, with students joining and forming teams by October 18. The 2025 competition will be held February 10 - 14, 2025 during the school day.
