National Junior Honor Society
Membership in National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to an Ira Jones student. Students are invited, based on GPA, to apply for membership at the end of 7th grade. Students who successfully apply and are accepted into the group, participate in NJHS in 8th Grade. The Ira Jones chapter strives to give practical meaning to the Society's standards of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Members grow their leadership skills while making contributions to the Ira Jones Community in activities such as welcoming new students, leading our school in Gold Out Week to bring awareness of pediatric cancer, organizing a food drive to benefit Bags of Hope, and sponsoring a Family Game Night.
NJHS will meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of each Month from 3-4
